Bread Pudding
2 loaves sliced white bread (crusts removed), cubed
1 C coarsely chopped walnuts
1 C raisins
2 C sugar
1 T vanilla
1 T cinnamon
3 C milk
2 C melted butter
Sauce
Combine walnuts, raisins, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, milk and butter in large mixing bowl. Add bread last. Pour into a buttered shallow baking pan (12" square by 4" deep). Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes, until the top is lightly browned.
Whiskey Sauce:
1 C quality bourbon
1 lb. confectioners sugar
2 C whipping cream
Blend
ingredients with wire whip and warm over low heat. Serve warm over pudding.
