Hardee's Biscuits
2-1/2 lbs. (3-3/4 C) White Lily self-rising flour
2 T baking powder
2 T sugar
14 oz. shortening
1 quart buttermilk
1/3 C water
Mix flour,
baking powder and sugar thoroughly. Add shortening. Mix until dough is like
small pebbles Add buttermilk and water. Mix until all flour is well mixed. Roll
out on floured dough board. Cut into large biscuits. Bake at 400 degrees until
brown.
