Lemon Squares

1 C flour

1/2 C butter

1/4 C confectioners sugar

2 eggs

1 C granulated sugar

1/2 t baking powder

2 T lemon juice

1/4 t salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Blend four, butter and confectioners sugar thoroughly. Press evenly in square pan, 8x8x2 inches. Bake 20 minutes. Beat rest of ingredients together. Pour over crust and bake 20 or more minutes. Do not over bake. Filling puffs during baking but flattens when it cools. (makes 16 squares)
