Popcorn Balls - Gertrude Shadix
3 qt. popped corn
1/2 C pecans
1/2 C margarine
1 C brown sugar
1/4 C corn syrup
1/2 t salt
1/4 t soda
1/2 t vanilla
Place popcorn
and pecans in greased pan and set aside. Melt margarine. Add brown sugar, syrup
and salt. Bring to boil, boil 5 minutes. Do not stir. Remove from heat. Stir in
soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and stir until well coated. Bake 300 degrees
for 30 minutes. Stir after 15 minutes. Cool and break into pieces. Store in air
tight container.
