Poppy Seed Dressing
1/2 C sugar
1/3 C vinegar or lemon juice
1 T grated onion
1 t salt
1 t dry mustard
1 C salad oil
1 T poppy seed
In small bowl
with mixer at medium speed beat sugar, vinegar, onion, salt and mustard until
well mixed. Continue beating, gradually adding oil in a thin stream. Beat until
thick and smooth. Stir in poppy seed. Cover, refrigerate until serving time at
least 1 1/2 hours. Stir well before serving over fruit or tossed green salad.
